Cookies and browser storage
What the SoundImplosion website stores in your browser, why, and how to clear it.
Last updated: 3 November 2026info@soundimplosion.itIn short
The site uses no analytics, advertising or profiling cookies, and no third-party tools that follow you from site to site. The fonts are hosted on the site itself.
We only store a few technical items in your browser, needed for the site to work as you ask. They are all listed below.
What we store
- si_prefs (localStorage): the theme, colour-blind mode, contrast and reduced motion you choose in the Accessibility panel. It stays until you clear it.
- si.in (localStorage): remembers whether you were signed in last time, to show the right button in the menu (Personal area or Sign in). It is not used to sign you in and holds no personal data.
- si.a.* (sessionStorage): the listening settings of the instrument on the home page: mode (chords or melody), tempo and whether you already played it. They clear themselves when you close the tab.
- firebaseLocalStorageDb (IndexedDB): the session of Firebase Authentication, the Google service you sign in with. It keeps you signed in until you sign out. If you are a manager and two-step verification is required, we still ask for your authenticator app's code again every 30 days.
If you sign in with Google, the sign-in opens in a Google window: Google's cookies and policy apply there.
Why there is no banner
These are all technical tools, needed to give you the service you ask for (remembering your preferences and keeping you signed in). For these, the Italian data protection authority's guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, 10 June 2021) require no consent: that is why we show no banner.
If we ever add analytics or third-party tools, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
How to clear them
- Sign out: press Sign out in the personal area menu. The sign-in session is deleted and si.in is reset.
- Clear the site's data: in your browser settings, under cookies and site data, delete the data of soundimplosion.it. This also removes your theme and preferences.
- Private browsing: in a private window the browser deletes everything when you close it.
If you clear this data the site keeps working: you will just need to sign in again and redo your display choices.
Personal data
How we handle the data of your account, bookings and groups is explained in the privacy policy.
